Altagracia Serrano De Jesus

With deep respect and loving remembrance, we honor the life of Altagracia "Glady" Serrano De Jesus, who passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, in Peoria, Illinois. Born on January 21, 1940, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, she moved away to Philadelphia, PA, where many of her family resided, weaving a journey that spanned over eight and a half decades.

Altagracia was the cherished daughter of Alfonso Serrano and Salvadora de Jesus, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her older sister Elsa, brothers Joe & Pete, and younger sister Margie, as well as her oldest son Louis.

She is survived by her children: Danny, Cecilia, Willie and Richie; and also by her siblings Nanita, Irma (Manuel), Carmen and Ada, each sharing the many fond memories and irreplaceable moments that defined their shared journey.

Family and friends will gather to remember and pay tribute to Altagracia at a visitation scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Compagnola Funeral Home- 5th St., located at 4405-07 North 5th St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.

Altagracia Serrano De Jesus leaves an enduring impression on the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.
