With hearts full of love and deep sorrow, we share the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Anthony Mobley, who died tragically at the age of 38 on May 23, 2025, after being struck by a car while walking. His death was as unexpected and devastating. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, creativity, and fierce love.
To know Anthony was to know joy — unpredictable, goofy, loud, and always genuine. He had a terrific sense of humor that could catch you off guard and a laugh that was impossible to ignore. He loved to dance — and boy, did he dance — with a freedom and flair that could light up any room or sidewalk.
Anthony was deaf, which did absolutely nothing to stop him from making music and singing his heart out. Was he on key? Absolutely not. Did he care? Absolutely not. He sang because he loved to sing.
He was an artist in many senses — expressive, vibrant, and unafraid to be himself. From childhood, he saw the world differently. Whether he was sharing his perspective or floating a wild idea, he reminded us not to take everything at face value and to keep asking questions.
Anthony lived with mental illness, which brought real pain and struggle, especially in recent years. But even in those dark times, he fought hard. He fought to stay present, to reconnect, to love, and to laugh. That fight, full of courage, vulnerability, and resilience, is part of what made him so remarkable.
Most of all, Anthony loved his family — wholeheartedly. We felt it in the way he smiled at us, in how he never forgot to sign “I love you,” and in the joy he shared over throwback songs and happy memories.
Anthony now joins his beloved grandparents in heaven, Luis Burgos and Lydia Gonzalez Burgos. He leaves behind his devoted mother, Mary Rodriguez, and loving siblings, Andrew Mobley, and Lolita HayCurrie, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts- as well as many dear friends who loved and supported him throughout the years.
We will miss his wild spirit, his terrible singing, his spontaneous dances, and his enormous heart. The world is quieter and less colorful without him — but we are so grateful for every moment we had.
A viewing and service will be held on May 31, 2025, at Iglesia De Dios Mizpa in Warminster, PA. Following the service, the burial will take place at Hatboro Cemetery.
In honor of Anthony, we invite you to wear something blue, tell a terrible joke, and maybe even dance a little. He would’ve liked that.
