Bienvenido Vega, born on August 20, 1942, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He lived a life marked by contentment and joy, qualities he cherished deeply and which remained his proudest accomplishments.

Mr. Vega was well known for his love of playing dominos, a pastime that brought him great pleasure and connection with friends and family. His warm spirit and calm demeanor endeared him to those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Services to honor and remember Bienvenido Vega will take place on April 17, 2026. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Compagnola Funeral Home- 5th St., located at 4405-07 North 5th St., Philadelphia, PA 19140. Following the viewing, a prayer service will be conducted from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM in the same location. The final commendation will be his burial at Greenmount Cemetery, 4301 N Front St., Philadelphia, PA 19140, beginning at 1:15 PM.
