Catalina Zayas Espada

 We have lost a cherished soul with the passing of Catalina Zayas Espada. Catalina, born on March 23, 1936, in Puerto Rico, breathed her last at home on June 29, 2024, enveloped by her loving family.

Catalina's life will be commemorated with services held on July 8, 2024, beginning with a Visitation at Visitation BVM Catholic School in Philadelphia from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. This will be followed by a Mass at the same location from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Finally, she will be laid to rest at Greenmount Cemetery in Philadelphia at noon.

A woman of remarkable grace and kindness, Catalina touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She held dear her family and friends, and her presence brightened every room she entered. Her laughter was infectious, and her wisdom was unparalleled.

Catalina is survived by her beloved family members who will continue to cherish the memories they shared with her. Although she may no longer walk beside them, her spirit will live on in their hearts forever.

As we bid farewell to Catalina Zayas Espada, let us remember the profound impact she had on those around her and find solace in the beautiful moments she gifted us during her time on this earth. May she rest in eternal peace.
