Darrius Jose Harris

Darrius Jose Harris, a shining beacon of love and laughter, was born on January 12, 1998, in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He walked among us for only a brief while, leaving anelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. On September 16, 2025, Darrius departed this world unexpectedly in Los Angeles, California, a city emblematic of dreams and aspirations, much like the dreams he vividly shared with friends and family.

Throughout his 27 years, Darrius embodied a rare blend of humility, humor, and warmth. He was the type of person whose laughter was infectious and who could light up even the dimmest of rooms with a mere smile. Those who encountered his presence quickly learned that his spirit was one of kindness, sharing a love so pure that it resonated in the hearts of those around him.

As we gather to celebrate the life of this remarkable individual, we invite all who knew and loved him to join us in remembrance. Visitation services will be held at the Compagnola Funeral Home on 4405-07 North 5th St., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where we can unite over shared memories, tears, and laughter. The first visitation will take place on October 2, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by another opportunity on October 3, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

On this solemn day, we shall bid our final farewell during the burial service, scheduled for October 3, 2025, starting at noon, where we will lay our beloved Darrius to rest at the same location. While we grieve the loss of a loving friend and soul, we reflect on the joyful moments we were privileged to share with him, the laughter that echoed through our minds, and the humble grace that he exuded in every interaction.
