Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew her, as she was a beacon of kindness and strength throughout her 96 years. Delia's roots in Yabucoa, a place where her early years were shaped, remained a cherished part of her identity, even as she made Philadelphia her home later in life.
To honor her memory and celebrate her life, a series of respectful services have been arranged. On April 6, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, there will be a viewing at the Compagnola Funeral Home, located at 4405-07 North 5th St. in Philadelphia. This time will offer friends and loved ones a chance to pay their respects and remember Delia's remarkable life.
The following day, April 7, 2026, further gatherings will take place at Holy Innocents Church, situated on E Hunting Park Ave. Starting at 9:00 AM, a viewing will be held until 10:00 AM, followed by a solemn Mass from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, providing a sacred space for reflection and prayer. The ceremonies will culminate with a burial at New Cathedral Cemetery, 3900 N Front St., Philadelphia, beginning at 11:30 AM and concluding by 11:45 AM.
Delia Camacho Diaz’s life will be remembered with deep respect and admiration at these services, where all who were touched by her will gather to reflect on her generous spirit and enduring legacy.
