Edwin Gonzalez

Edwin Gonzalez, 63 of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away on June 3, 2025, at Temple Hospital. A celebration of life service will take place at Compagnola Funeral Home Funeral Home located at 4405 N 5th St Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 13, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00pm.  

Born in Brooklyn, New York on June 15, 1961, Edwin attended Edison high school and soon after joined the army. He was a hardworking custodian for many years. Edwin loved talking about God, reading the word and teaching others about Jesus. He loved making people smile and laugh.

Edwin was preceded in death by his parents Ramon and Matilda Gonzalez and sisters Carmen Bonaparte and Minerva Gonzalez is survived by his children, Evelis (Richard) and Jennifer (Anthony) his four grandchildren: Sierra, Anthony Jr., Richard Jr. and Collin, his siblings Carlos, Hector, Marivel, Nelly, Evelyn and Helysel and many nieces and nephews.

Edwin will be remembered for his heart of gold, his kindness, silliness, love for his family, and for being a prayer warrior. His laughter, love and kindness were gifts to everyone who knew him.
