Evelyn Matos was born with her twin on September 3, 1962 in New York City. She was called to heaven on November 10, 2023. She lived most of her life in Philadelphia, PA. She was the mother of boys. Her children were Junior, Will, Tone, Johnny, and Jay. She loved and cherished them so very much. They all called her “Momdukes “ She will forever be remembered and celebrated for her remarkable qualities in life.

She was a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. She was one that was loved by so many. She loved her family. She brought so much happiness to everyone’s life. She was a loving and caring person. She had such a big heart. It is said “ Those who love the most hurt the hardest “ and that truly describes her. She was a giver. She would give and give, even if it meant giving the last piece of her. She was a lover that loved unconditionally to no end. She would use her last breath to tell you “ I love you”. She was a fighter that never gave up.

She was one of two, that loved her twin deeply and dearly. She always referred to her twin as being her rock because she helped her keep it together and be strong when she felt she couldn’t. She was a cat lover. She loved her cat Nino. She was a photogenic person that loved pictures and to make memories. She enjoyed reading books, making crafts, and creating photo collages. Today we lay her to rest where she will be United with all her loved ones that have passed on. However, this does not mean Goodbye, it just means that soon we will meet again.
