It is with deep respect and solemn remembrance that we announce the passing of Francis Addo, who left us on May 29, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born on August 11, 1946, in Ghana, Mr. Addo lived a life marked by dedicated service and professional accomplishment.
With a steadfast commitment to the well-being of others, Francis built a distinguished career as a Supervisor for the City of Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Services. His expertise and compassion were further supported by his advanced education, having earned a Master's degree in Behavioral Health. Throughout his tenure, he strived to improve the lives of those facing behavioral health challenges and intellectual disabilities, leaving behind a lasting impact on the community he served so diligently.
Born in Ghana, Mr. Addo brought a unique perspective and a heartfelt dedication to his work in Philadelphia. He was known not only for his professional acumen but also for his kindness and integrity, attributes that endeared him to colleagues and community members alike.
A visitation to honor Francis Addo’s life will be held on June 5, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Compagnola Funeral Home located at 4405-07 North 5th Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19140. This will be an opportunity for friends, colleagues, and those whose lives he touched to come together and pay their respects. His burial will take place at the Teshie Presbyterian Cemetery (Salem) in Teshie - Accra, Ghana.
While mourning the loss of a respected community leader and devoted professional, we also celebrate the life and legacy Francis Addo leaves behind–one defined by service, leadership, and dedication to the welfare of others. His memory will remain a guiding light to all who knew him.
