James Michael Fuller

With great sorrow we share that James Michael Fuller passed away on May 31, 2026 at the age of 27.

James was born on October 23, 1998, in Hemel Hempstead, England, to Jeff Fuller and Lisa Kelly. James moved with his older sister Lucy and his parents to Florida in 2002 when he was 4 years old. James graduated from Springstead High School in 2017 and later moved to Philadelphia in the summer of 2021 with a good friend to broaden his horizons. James worked hard and was looking forward to completing his Mechanical Engineering degree at Drexel University in 2027. James knew he would enjoy his chosen career and was proud of the work he had recently carried out as an intern with the Philadelphia Water Department.

James was known for his kindness, charm, and subtle wit. He loved hiking, skateboarding, playing guitar, quiz nights, cooking, concerts, and the Phillies. He played soccer from a young age and went on to pass down his “mad skills” by coaching younger players alongside his dad. Throughout his life James enjoyed reading broadly and exploring stories through film. As a child he brightened others’ days by sharing fascinating science facts and the details of his favorite movies. In later years he loved classic literature, philosophy, and taking many trips to The Philadelphia Film Society Center. James was deeply curious about the world and he bettered the lives of those around him by sharing his insights and unique perspective.

His untimely loss will be felt in the hearts of many, and his memory will be greatly cherished by his family and friends.

James is survived by his sister Lucy, his mother Lisa Kelly, his father and stepmother Jeff and Tina Fuller, his step-sister Ember, his grandmother Ngaire Kelly, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. James was also survived by his beloved cat George, who currently lives with Jeff and his family.
