Obituary
Jose A. Perez, born on March 8, 1940, in Yauco, Puerto Rico, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories. He is survived by the love of his life of 35 years, Patricia Clark.
Jose was the proud father of nine children: Bolo, Chino, Yoly, Armando, Luis, Moty, Papa, the late Nancy, and Charo; and stepfather to Yvette, Noel, Yolanda, and Marco. He was a beloved grandfather and great-grandfather to many.
A hardworking man, Jose was a businessman for many years in Newark, NJ, and continued working as a laborer up until his final days. He found joy playing dominoes and treasured every moment spent with his family.
Jose was known for being a wonderful storyteller, often sharing tales of his childhood in Puerto Rico and the adventurous life he led in the camps and farms of his beloved island. He spoke fondly of his mother, Amelia Torres, whom he deeply cherished, and remembered the wisdom and lessons from his father Armando Perez that guided him throughout his life.
Jose’s warmth, dedication, and love will be missed and remembered always by all who knew him.
