José María Trujillo, a beloved member of the Oxford Circle section Philadelphia, passed away peacefully at his home on June 6, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on September 8, 1926, in Prado, Colombia, José lived a life rich with experiences, memories, and contributions to those around him.

José's journey took him far from his homeland, yet he always carried the spirit of Colombia in his heart. It was this spirit that endeared him to many, as he shared stories of his early life, traditions, and cultural heritage with anyone willing to listen. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering resilience made him a cherished figure in the lives he touched.

He is remembered for his gentle demeanor, his genuine smile, and the way he always prioritized family and friends, reminding all who knew him of the importance of connection and community. José’s love for his loved ones was boundless, and it was this love that shaped his many relationships throughout his life.

A visitation honoring José will be held at the Church of St. William in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on June 13, 2025, starting at 8:45 AM and concluding at 9:45 AM. Following the visitation, a Mass will be celebrated in his memory at the same location, beginning at 10:00 AM and ending at 11:00 AM. The Church of St. William is located at 6200 Rising Sun Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19111.

In a final farewell, José María Trujillo will be laid to rest in his beloved homeland of Colombia, where his roots began and where he will forever lie at peace. His legacy of love and compassion will endure in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
