Lonnie Joseph Nelson

Lonnie J. Nelson was born to the late Rita Nelson on August 14, 1954. He attended St Edwards Catholic School in Philadelphia and later went on to pursue a post-secondary education in Culinary Arts. Though he enjoyed cooking for his family and friends, he transitioned to a career with the IRS.

Lonnie, aka Pacman, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling and riding his motorcycle. He lived life on the edge; and even joined a biker club where he formed a brotherhood with Arms of Inferno. Lonnie was known for being a jack of all trades, and someone you could count on when you needed a hand. He will be dearly missed by all that had the fortune to know him.

Lonnie was cherished and survived by his partner, Mercedes Concepcion; two sons; four stepchildren and a slew of grandchildren.

Family and friends are called to visitation hours on Friday February 3, 2023 from 9:00am to 12:00am at the Compagnola Funeral Home 4405 North 5th Street Philadelphia, PA 19140. A religious service will begin at 11:00am.

Funeral procession will take leave at 12:00pm to Greenmount Cemetery 4301 North Front Street Philadelphia, PA 19140 where Lonnie will be laid to rest at.
