Luz María Aponte

Luz María Aponte, (Lucy), age 64, of the Fairhill section of Philadelphia, passed away on Thursday August 29, 2024. 

Born November 28, 1959 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Daughter of the late Mr. Luis Aponte and late Mrs. Luz Maria Ortiz.

Luz leaves memories to be cherished by her Husband Miguel, stepfather Ramon, her children Jaysica, Michelle, Amanda, Maxi, Max, Nate and Lil Hec. Grandchildren Chulo, Jonathan, Bryana, Gillyan, Jose, Jayden, Samir, Samani, Samaiyah, Maria, Marcos, Scarlett, Keith, Anthony, Kristian and Damien. Great grandchildren Emar, Emery and Zalaysha. She also leaves memories to be cherished by her siblings Papo, Hector, Guiz, Olga, Monin and Ada

She is preceded in death by her son Amado and 4 siblings. 

Relatives and friends are invited to Luz’ Life Celebration service Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Compagnola Funeral Home 4405 N. 5th St., Philadelphia, PA, 19140. Visitation hours are set to begin at 5:00 PM and conclude at 9:00 PM.

A final visitation will take place Saturday September 14, 2024, at the Compagnola Funeral Home (Same Location). Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM.

Interment will be held at Greenmount Cemetery 4301 N. Front St., Philadelphia, PA, 19140 Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 12:30 PM.

Luz’s family invites all who would like to attend for a luncheon from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Daja Vu Social Club 521 W Erie Ave., Philadelphia, PA, 19140.
