Maritza Vélez Toledo, a cherished woman of faith, peacefully departed this life on May 9, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born on November 16, 1969, in Juncos, Puerto Rico, Maritza embodied strength and compassion throughout her life, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Her spiritual devotion not only served as a guiding light for herself but also inspired countless others. Maritza was a strong presence in her community, known for her warm heart and unwavering support for those around her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her remarkable life through a series of services held at Iglesia Nueva Jerusalen, located at 3520 N 9th St, Philadelphia, PA 19140. The visitation will take place on May 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life that evening from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Another visitation is scheduled for May 20, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, culminating with a burial service at Greenmount Cemetery, 4301 N Front St, Philadelphia, PA 19140, beginning at 12:30 PM and concluding by 1:30 PM.
