Michael W. Mattiacci (“Mike”)
Michael W. Mattiacci, lovingly known as Mike, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, at the age of 75, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 29, 1950, in the Frankford section of Philadelphia, Mike was the son of Mabel (Yates) and James Mattiacci. He graduated from Frankford High School and was raised with a strong sense of family and proud Italian roots, shaped by Sunday dinners at his grandparents’ home surrounded by his extended family. As a young man, he also cherished trips on the train to Florida with his mother—memories that stayed with him throughout his life. These early experiences instilled in him the values of loyalty, togetherness, and hard work that remained at the core of who he was throughout his life.
In 1971, Mike married the love of his life, Patricia (Morris) Mattiacci. Together, they built a life grounded in commitment, partnership, and family.
Mike dedicated over 50 years of his life to his work as a printer, a true reflection of his strong work ethic, pride, and commitment.
Mike was a proud father to three children: Michael, Laurie (Tim) Maxwell, and Katie (John) Speiser. He was also a loving grandfather to Nicholas, Cole, Nathan, Emily, and Devon. His greatest love was his grandson Nicholas, whom he and Patsy raised, sharing a bond that was truly one of a kind.
Mike loved all things movies and was a devoted Philadelphia sports fan. He especially cherished finally seeing the Eagles win the Super Bowl—a moment that brought him great joy and was shared with the same passion he brought to everything he loved.
Mike will be remembered for his strength, his steady presence, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. He had a quiet confidence and a reliability that made others feel supported and at ease. Whether through his actions or simply being there when it mattered most, Mike left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Above all, Mike was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His love for his family was unwavering, and his legacy lives on through them.
Services will be held privately.
