Miguel Angel moved from Puerto Rico to New York City in the late 1960s where he worked as a farm worker. He eventually moved to Philadelphia in the 1970s where he later got married and started a family. While raising a family he became the owner of a Bodega and enjoyed many years of successful business. He later changed careers to Landscaping where one of his brothers’ was his manager. Years later he opened up his own food restaurant called ‘El Tropical’. After being the chef in his restaurant for a couple years , he sold the restaurant and became the owner of a bar where he had much success.
After having the bar for years he eventually slowed down, sold the bar and did side jobs whenever he felt like staying busy. Afterwards he retired altogether and took life a little slower enjoying weekend casino trips , eating dinner in restaurants, playing dominoes, enjoying his favorite merengue music and being in the company of happy people.
