Miguel Antonio Vega

Miguel Vega, age 62, of the Fairhill section of Philadelphia, passed away on Tuesday July 2, 2024, surrounded by those who loved him most.

Born December 8, 1961, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, Son of the late Mr. Luis M. Vega and the late Mrs. Bienvenida Sanabria.

Miguel was a hard worker since the age of 16, he traveled back and forth from Puerto Rico to Philadelphia not knowing that his new home would be Philadelphia. Miguel then started working for the Northeast Window and Door Co. located on (Aramingo Ave. and Church St.) in 1982. Miguel made that his passion for 40 years until his retirement in November of 2022.

While working at Northeast Window and Door Co. Miguel met the love of his life Luz Olmeda where they later united holy matrimony February 10, 2014. Memories are to be cherished by his loving wife Luz Olmeda, his 2 children, a series of grandchildren and his 3 siblings.

Mr. Vega is preceded in death by his loving son Adam Vega and 3 siblings.

Those who crossed paths with Miguel could say that he was an incredible person with a big heart and would help any one. Miguel’s passion for animals were unbearable, during his free time he enjoyed going to flea markets, car auctions and fishing. He was also a big time car lover especially the 1957 Chevy.

Relative and friends are invited to Miguel’ Life Celebration service Friday morning July 12, 2024, at the Compagnola Funeral Home 4405 N. 5th St. Philadelphia, PA, 19140. Visitation hours are set to begin at 9:00 AM with a religious service beginning at 11:00 AM. 

Miguel will be laid to rest at Magnolia Cemetery 4500 Levick St. Philadelphia, PA, 19135, on Friday July 12, 2024. Interment is scheduled for 12:30 PM.
