Olanrewaju Abiodun Banjo

Olanrewaju Abiodun Banjo, 74 years old residing in Philadelphia PA transitioned peacefully on 8/19/2026. Born in Ijebu Igbo Nigeria on April 21, 1952 our father was a quiet and reserved man whose presence spoke through his actions, hard work, and devotion to his family. Holding Various jobs to provide for his family and traveling to and from his native homeland pursuing a cocoa business he demonstrated determination, perseverance and endurance that he would pass on to his children. He was a man who valued education and believed deeply in the importance of becoming a professional in whatever path we chose. He encouraged his three children to use opportunities education provided to become the best version of ourselves possible. Though often reserved, there was also a joyful and spirited side of him that came alive during moments he enjoyed most. He enjoyed spending time with family especially when cooking! His life was one of quiet strength, hard work, ambition and love for his family as we remember him, we celebrate not only the life he loved, but the values he instilled in us and the legacy he leaves behind. He is survived by his Wife, 3 Children and 3 Grand children known to them as “Pop pop”.
