Rena Elizabeth Bowen, born on December 25, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 27, 2026.

Her life began on Christmas Day in Philadelphia, a city that remained part of her story from beginning to end. Rena’s passing leaves behind a sense of quiet reflection and gratitude for a life that stretched across generations and seasons of change.  Rena brought warmth and kindness into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

A true motherly spirit, Rena had a special way of making people feel welcomed, comforted, and loved. Her nurturing heart, gentle nature, and willingness to care for others were among the many qualities that made her so special. She was a woman of faith who cherished her relationship with God and found strength and comfort in her church.

Family and friends are invited to gather in her memory on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Beloved St John Evangelistic, 4541 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19140. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Burial will take place later that day at 12:00 PM at Greenmount Cemetery, 4301 N Front St, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
