Sarah Elizabeth Romonowski (1941-2026)

Sarah (Sally) Elizabeth Romonowski, 84, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, passed away on February 2, 2026.

Sally was born in Easton, PA, on September 13, 1941, to Arthur and Kathryn Compagnola. She was the oldest of four children. After growing up in Catonsville, MD, she dedicated most of her adult life to raising a family and working in Atlantic County, New Jersey. Throughout her career, Sally held various administrative and organizational positions. Most notably, she served for several decades as the Director of the Miss America Pageant Parade in Atlantic City, where she had the pleasure of hosting many Miss America contestants, including former Miss America Vanessa Williams. Sally was also an active member of the 200 Club and the HOA at LaCosta Lakes, where she served as President. In addition, she was involved in the CRS Club and was an avid bowler and golfer, as well as enjoying needlepoint.

Sally was preceded in death by: Husband, Fred Romonowski; Father Arthur “Art” Andrew Compagnola; Mother Kathryn “Kitty” (Donnelly) Compagnola; Sister Alice Oakman (Chan). She is survived by her two sons, Albert Leon DiPrizito Jr, Timothy Arthur DiPrizito (Mary), her siblings Carol DeMarzo (Bob), and Arthur Andrew "Andy" Compagnola, Jr.(Margie), four nephews and niece (Drew, Jess, Ross, Peter, Casey), and four granddaughters (Kara, Lena, Ana, and Isabella DiPrizito).

A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2026 with more details to come.
