Virginia Cruz

Virginia Cruz, a loving and humble woman of faith, passed away on June 7, 2025, at Jeanes Hospital in Fox Chase, Philadelphia, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on March 2, 1969, in the City of Brotherly Love, Virginia was a cherished member of her community who dedicated her life to the values of service, faith, and family.

Virginia's passion for cleaning and her dedication to attending church reflected her caring nature and commitment to nurturing the spiritual well-being of herself and those around her. She was blessed with a beautiful family that brought her immense joy and fulfillment.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, whose love and support were a constant source of strength for her. Virginia was also a devoted mother to her children, Ashley and Herman Vera, and she found great happiness in her role as Yaya to her beloved: Adíen, Gabriel, Penelope, Kali, Caiden, Sophie, Karter, and Elianna. Their memories of joyful times spent together will forever remain a testament to her generous spirit and deep love for her family.

Virginia's legacy includes her five siblings, who will carry forward her memory and the lessons of love and faith she imparted throughout her life. Although her parents, Pilar Cruz and Florentina Delgado Pagan, and siblings Jose Cruz, Maria Cruz, and Carmen Cruz, have preceded her in death, their collective memory serves as a foundation for the relationships she built and nurtured during her lifetime.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Compagnola Funeral Home, located at 4405-07 North 5th St., Philadelphia, PA, on June 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Following the visitation, she will be laid to rest at Greenmount Cemetery, where the burial service will commence at 1:45 PM.

Virginia Cruz's life was a testimony to her unwavering faith and her love for her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
