Virginia Montañez Díaz, passed away on October 21, 2023, in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Born on May 20, 1940, in Ceiba, Puerto Rico, Virginia was a woman of faith, known for her lovable nature and friendly disposition.

Virginia dedicated her life to the education of young minds as a teacher in the School District of Philadelphia and as an adjunct professor at Community College. She had a passion for nurturing the potential in each student and was deeply respected by her colleagues and cherished by her students. Throughout her career, Virginia made a lasting impact on countless lives through her dedication and devotion to teaching.

Virginia was also a beloved member of la Primera Iglesia Cristiana Misionera for over 50 years where she developed an unbreakable bond with the Christian community. 

In addition to her remarkable career, Virginia was an adored mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her loving son Malvin Carrión, daughter Marilyn Mejía, son Jason Carrión, daughters-in-law Jeanette Carrión and Johanna Carrión, and her grandchildren. 

Virginia's grandchildren Gabriel Carrión, Julian Carrión, Isabella Carrión, Rebekah Carrión, and Samuel Carrión will forever cherish the memories they shared with their beloved grandmother.

Virginia's friends and family are invited to pay their last respects during the services that will be held at Primera Iglesia Cristiana Misionera located at 4236 Whitaker Ave in Philadelphia. The visitation will take place on October 29th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A prayer service will follow the visitation from 7:00 PM to 8:45 PM on the same day.

On October 30th, a viewing will be held at Primera Iglesia Cristiana Misionera from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. 

The burial service will then take place at Greenmount Cemetery located at 4301 N Front St in Philadelphia at 11:30 AM.

Virginia Montañez Díaz has left an indelible mark on the lives she touched. She will be remembered for her kindheartedness, her unwavering faith, and her dedication to education. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire and guide us all.
